Formaly P.H.A.T revamped to Happy,Healthy and Fat Free

To all my followers old and new,  Alzora's back!
I know it's been a while...2010 was my last entry and a lot of life changing events have happened. For one, I have had another child. A little boy whom is now 2 years old. I am no longer engaged but I am in a new relationship, taking this one very slow. Through out the progression of my new journey I will be giving you update and small insights into my new love and my children.

As you can see I have changed the name of my blog to Happy, Healthy and Fat Free. In the process of revamping my blog and thinking about what this weight loss journey will require I realized that in order for me to reach my goals and also inspire others to do the same, I have to be happy with who I am every day. I had to understand that losing weight is more than just fitting into a certain size and of course, "Fat Free" as in losing the weight but also diminishing  the fatty  poisons intoxicating my body. " My body,my temple", right!

Lets let the journey began...
What have I been doing? Well, first of all I have been using a weight loss app called My Fitness Pal. I log on from my iPhone as well as going on line. Also, My Fitness Pal is connected to my Facebook account. So it allows my friends and family to see how I am doing and it also allows for comments and motivation from my FB family. I log every piece of food and liquids that I put into my body;I also log my exercise.  I'm sure that there are plenty of you using this app., I think its wonderful. I like the updates like being able to log in all my food at once instead of one at  time which makes logging really easy. Also, I am constantly doing research, not everything works for everybody. So what works for me? What works for you? To answer that question I log into WebMd.,because there are articles to help me understand and find answers to my questions, there are recipes, and just like My Fitness Pal, a place to log my progression. I'm constantly on YouTube. It can't be a better place to relate to real people and real results. I also have a Instagam now because a pictures worth a thousand words. I  am exercising 3 times a week. I rotate between Zumba fitness and My slim in 6. Yes, I still use that program because it gave me such good results before. Why stray away from the things that work? And, finally, Im blogging again. Before getting pregnant with my now 2 year old, I had lost 35lbs.
I was working outside 8 hours a day, riding a bike or walking, I was going to school for Graphic Design, raising my kids and falling in love...actually planning a wedding. My life changed in an instant. My mom got sick and moved in with me in my small 3 bedroom apartment, my fiance cheated on me with his ex, I was put on bed rest so I had to leave school, I had to move out of my apartment and because I lost my job I had to find a place with my parents. I gained the 35 pounds back and then some. Some of these life events I am still dealing with, like my Mom still living with me. It's stressful , I have a belly now...I actually look like I am still 4 or 5 months pregnant. Its stress, its unhappiness and conflict that has caused me to be this way. I have made the decision to take hold of my life instead of my life taking hold of me.
I have a Facebook page called, Happy, Healthy and Fat Free, check it out, leave comments, post your results. I look forward to hearing from you.
With much love and total commitment to finding the Healthier me....Alzora

Life Fitness Energy Multi-Vitamins

Good new, I have lost a total of 8.6lbs and I can truely feel the difference.  Just in the last two weeks I lost a total of 4.6 pounds! Woooooo-hooooo!!! What did I decide to do differently? I changed my vitamins. Two weeks ago I ran out of my usual One-A-Day women's vitamins and I was browsing the CVS when I came across the Life Fitness Brand Vitamins.  I had already planned to change my vitamins because I didn't feel like I was getting the full benefit of taking vitamins from the One-A-Days. I am anemic and use to have to take a seperate iron pill but when taking a vitamin that has 100% of the daily value of Iron...I just stick to the vitamins.  I am so glad that I did! I love, love, love my new vitamins....Life Fitness Brand Vitamins!!! These vitamins have DHA Omega-3, this is not normally found in vitamins. Also, these vitamins are jam packed with other important vitamins and minerals like: Vitamin A 3500IU 70%DV,FOLIC ACID 400mcg,100% DV,VITAMIN C 60MG,100%DV,DHA OMEGA 3 32mg,EPA 1mg,green tea 2.5mg. There is also caffeine 110mg.
What's great about the Caffeine is...I usually have a sickly reaction when I consume it in liquid form but it hasn't given me any problems. I make sure to take my vitamins at the same time everyday 9am, with water and breakfast. I challenge myself everyday to consume (2) 32oz. bottles of room tempurate water everyday. To add an extra perk, I also add to my first 32oz. of water a vitamin C pack. I take the vitamin C to help combat the sorness and achyness in my muscles associated with working out and it also helps to protect my immune system. I double up on Vitamin C when its that time of the month because I have found it gives me that extra kick when I am usually feeling drained mentally and physically.

Another added perk of the Life Fitness Brand Vitamins, is the amount for the price. I get a 90-day supply with Life Fitness at about $8.00 a bottle where I was only getting a 30-day supply with One-A-Days for just over $6.00 a bottle.  I think that is great...considering I am living on an unemployed budget, if ya know what I mean!!
I recommend these vitamins. I think they are a great find and so worth the value. Until next time...Keep Eating healthy and Stick to it!!!

The PostWorkout Muscle Relaxer Bath by Essence Magazine

One of my favorite things to do after a long week of work and working out is to take a nice hot bath. The heat of the water helps to tame the aches dwelling in my sore, aching muscles,as well as, helping to relieve stress. My favorite remedy for this comes from my faithful book,"The Essence Total Makeover."

What you will need:

  • 2 drops of rosemary essential oil
  • 2 drops of marjoram oil
  • 2 drops of lavender oil
  • 2 drops of chamomile oil
  • 2 tablespoons canola,olive or almond oil

Directions:
Mix the oils and stir them into a warm bath. Soak and Relax.
Grab some candles, turn on some relaxing music, lay back and enjoy. When you emerge from your little piece of  Heaven on Earth you will feel like a new woman.

**Alternative Combinations:Try: arnica, lavender, rosemary, juniper and peppermint or lavender, chamomile, ginger, rosemary, almond and St.John's wort oils.  These combinations can also be used with a little vegetable oil as a massage oil. **
